"What
is there to do in Lexington?"
To
answer that we suggest our visitors check out the Historic
Lexington web site. Things to see, places to shop, first run
movies, theater, special events, places to eat and a calendar of
events can all be found there. If you can't find what you are looking
for ask us when you call or e-mail to make your reservation and
we will be happy answer your questions.
"How
Far is Lexington from Kansas City? St. Louis?"
Historic
Lexington is just an hour's drive from downtown Kansas City via
any highway. From St. Louis the direct route is I-70 and you should
allow about three and one half hours. From either direction if you
are a person who enjoys the drive as much as the destination, you
can make a day of traveling along scenic Missouri River routes to
arrive at our door. Lexington has been over looking the Missouri
River for over 180 years - and the Victorianne has been right here
with it for over 115 of those years. We do kindly ask you to advise
us if you will be arriving late so we know to hold your room.
"What
is unique about the Victorianne?"
The
Victorianne is the most photographed house in Lexington. Built in
1885 it is a splendid example of Queen Anne architecture. It's exterior
is red brick with features including onion domed turrets with oriels,
a wrap around porch and a private garden in the back. Inside you
will find each room boasts a different type of wood trim including
maple, mahogany, cherry, ash and oak and all ten original fireplaces.

How do we make reservations?"
Reservations
can be made by calling 660-259-2868 or by e-mailing us at mault@classicnet.net.
We request a deposit equal to the first night's rental be sent in
advance. In the event of a cancellation we ask that you notify us
a minimum of one week prior to your reserved date. We will refund
the deposit less a $20.00 cancellation fee.
"Does
the Victorianne have special policies regarding children or pets?"
Children
are welcome at the Victorianne as long as they are accompanied by
a parent at all times while in the main house because of the extensive
collection of antiques and collectibles that are found in every
room. Pets are not allowed.
"When
is check in? Check out?"
Check
is is 3:00pm and check out is 11:00am. If you need to make special
arrangements please let us know.

The
Victorianne is the most photographed house in Lexington. It is featured
on tourism brocures, collectable wooden cut outs, and in many books
and other publications about Lexington. The Victorianne and had
been featured in television ads and in many magazines such as Country
Victorian and Discover Mid-America. |
